This is a section for works that i might or might not develop further. They are works that interest me but they don't have a specific context at this time. I am showing these as they may be of interest.

I'm fascinated by the possibilities for creating contemporary digital portraits and I have included examples here. Please contact me for details on commissioning your own portrait.

These are a series of works inspired by urban living, its landscapes, the news and the everyday objects of modern urban life.

"The City" is our most visible impact on the planet, depending on your viewpoint it is our most destructive or creative collective endeavour.

Most of these works were created since 2005

I've been an exhibiting artist for over 30 years.

Recent Exhibitions, Features and Awards

July 09 I was an official exhibiting artist at the Grassington Arts Festival in North Yorkshire.

11th April - 11th May 2010 I will be exhibiting my work at BBC Radio Lancashire's gallery.

Dec 09 My image "The City that never sleeps" is published in Frontiers of Neuroscience Magazine. In an edition based on Sleep and Dreams.

Background
For many years I worked with conventional artistic media but in 2006 I discovered digital art (art made with a computer). These days I mainly produce limited edition prints and various types of drawings which I sell around the world. The prints often start as conventional drawings etc but after scanning, I work on them digitally.

In addition to art I've always been interested in computers and the Internet and combining the two was quite natural for me. I enjoy the interaction with people from all over the world via the Net.

Work in Education
I also offer digital art workshops to schools, please contact me for full details. The workshops develop both IT and art skills. And I place a firm emphasis on the role of the creative imagination in many aspects of society.
